Porcelain is the best option for watercolour but that’s heavy, can break and is difficult for travel. Next best is aluminium and this palette is great for that. The paint still beads but not to the extent of plastic. You have a better surface to create pools of watercolour. Just remember to add the water first and you’ll be set!
