If you've got big pudgy fingers like me, quilling is a learned practice in patience, unglue-ing, re-glue-ing, frustration and eventual satisfaction but the journey there is never never easy. While the book is somewhat helpful, it isn't a complete beginner's book - you really do need a good understanding of craft and have a skill level of craftiness to do this... but I do tend to think that this applies to quilling in general.
If you have little hands, get an adult to help you. If you are an adult, get little hands to help out.
