Why Should I Get A Framed Canvas?

A frame can add so many things to your artwork, not just in design but also function! Not only is buying a pre-framed canvas WAY cheaper than framing it yourself, but you’ll also get the following benefits:

  • Having a frame around the edge of your canvas will help protect the sides and corners from being damaged.
  • A frame around a finished piece can make it look more polished and professional.
  • You can stain, engrave and colour the frame to suit the painting and add to the overall look of the art.

The last point can be heaps of fun! While the natural frame on our canvases is well suited to some kinds of art, you may wish to customise it to suit your piece.

  • Applying a stain – while the lovely light colour of our frames gives off a rustic feel, you may want to stain the wood darker to suit your home.

  • Paint some colour – you don’t need to stop at the canvas! Use acrylic paints to add some contrasting or complimentary colours to your frame.
