This ink actually looked like a storm grey (had just a hint of green, like a hail storm) and was a distinctly different shade to the Slate grey ink. I liked that it didn't just turn into a dark, black splotch in areas with lots of ink, it remained a much lighter grey. Did not achieve very dark hues, so it won't end up consuming or overwhelming the canvas or other colours.

The Paper Mill alcohol inks are great for experimentation in general and have a great range of colors to choose from. Paper Mill color 'Storm' is fairly pale, and a bit more subtle than some of the other colors. With less pigment in the solution, it means you can use it to add toning rather than straight up color to your work, or even just to put in shadow tones. Handy to keep in the kit!
