Jo Sonja Medium 250mL Acrylic Decor Crackle
Use with Jo Sonja's Artists' Colours. Top Colour separates to reveal base colour. For special effects creating appearance of aged paint. Suitable for furniture or other large surfaces. Directions: Seal and basecoat surface. Dry. Brush on an even, generous coat of Décor Crackle. Air dry to touch. Apply a contrasting layer of Jo Sonja's Artists' Colours when Décor Crackle is dry or within 6 hours. As top coat dries, it seperates to create the crackle pattern. The thicker the top layer of paint, the bolder the effect. Crackle will follow the direction of brushstrokes in topcoat application. Allow to air dry. Do not use hair dryer to promote drying. Jo Sonja's Metallic, Iridescent and Background Colours are not recommended as topcoat colours unless mixed a minimum of 1:1 with Jo Sonja's Regular Crackle Medium. Mix well and apply over dry Décor Crackle using a large brush and a slip slap motion, smoothing as much as possible. Do not over brush or lifting may occur. Topcoat may be applied using a variety of tools for varied effects such as a sponge, cloth, etc. Allow to dry naturally. Sand with fine sandpaper if desired. A coat of Clear Glaze Medium applied prior to varnishing will help avoid further crackling. Clean up with mild soap and cool water. Note: If using a water based varnish, a test is advised as not all varnishes are compatible with this product. Non-Toxic and Water Based.
