Jo Sonja Medium Clear Glaze 250mL
Use with Jo Sonja's Artists' Colours. As a barrier coat between layers or prior to varnishing. For staining, glazing and other transparent painting effects. Clear Glaze Medium may be used in several different ways. Directions: Apply undiluted as a light sealer on raw wood prior to paint or stain application. Apply Clear Glaze Medium undiluted throughout painting and prior to varnishing as a protective barrier coat. May be used as a general painting medium where transparent colour is desired. Mix Clear Glaze Medium with transparent Jo Sonja's Artists' Colours to create glazes or wood stains. Begin with a ratio of 1 part paint to 3 parts medium. Ratio is determined by strength of colour desired. For staining wood, seal with 1 coat of Clear Glaze Medium over raw wood to ensure an even application of stain. Apply paint and medium in direction of the grain and wipe to remove excess. Repeat to enhance colour. For increased working time, add small amounts of Retarder Medium. Begin with a ratio of 3 parts Clear Glaze Medium to 1 part Retarder. Mix well. A hair dryer may be used to speed surface drying. Maximum of 3 coats may be applied within 24 hours. Clean up with mild soap and cool water.
