This is a good set IF you can buy it for 10 bucks. But at $20, it doesn’t have the vibrancy and lightfastnest you want in a watercolour set. The range of all three sets is very similar with each set only having one or two items being different so you need to choose carefully. The pastels are soft enough and metallic looking but the coverage is too light and requires a lot of use to gain an even wash. Best for highlights. The rose red on this is truly delicious.

Eraldo have done it again, these lovely new metallic and pearl paints don't disappoint. I have used them on both black and white backgrounds and I am happy to say they provide great colour and effect on both. They have good pigment colour on white and are ok on black, if using on black they are quite translucent, I would recommend using with other medium. ( although I did not have a proper watercolour black paper or canvas to play on, only black pastel paper and black acrylic board...)
