Charcoal pencils can be used in conjunction with or even instead of traditional charcoal sticks, due to their ability to create fine lines and delicate details in the place of sticks. This pack includes one hard, one soft and two medium pencils to allow artists to create lines of varying darkness and sharpness on paper, all of which can be blended and smudged like normal charcoal. These can also be sharpened and shaped for more variety in line art if necessary.
