Made by Schut in the Netherlands, Clairefontaine’s 100% alpha pure cellulose imitation Japan paper has a beautiful, warm ivory colour and bright hue. Its very fine and smooth surface makes it particularly suitable for printing the finest details. This paper is ideal for letterpress printing (engraving, linocut) or flat printing techniques such as screen printing and monotype and this 250 gsm version is also excellent for intaglio/gravure printing. It is a nice alternative to Japanese papers. Simili Japon paper makes it possible to guarantee the longevity of the works: acid-free, pH neutral and with an alkaline reserve to withstand ageing.
