Hinged Plywood Jewellery Box 22x12x8.5cm

I'm an avid crafter and I love painting and decorating these boxes, as well as decoupaging on them with beautiful paper. With this box, I first painted it white inside and out (I used a Dulux sample pot of pure white interior paint because these sample pots are so cheap to buy and the paint is excellent quality, which is great when you do a lot of craft work!) and then I put strips of painters tape over the lid and painted pale blue stripes over it (the trick to stopping the paint from bleeding under the tape is to first paint over the whole top of the lid and the tape with white paint, let it dry, and then paint the blue stripes onto the areas between the strips of tape, and immediately remove the tape while the blue paint is still wet. This way you'll get nice clean stripes every time) After the paint dried, I did a stencil over one part of the lid and then screwed the hardware back into the box, which I had already painted silver. I love this box because it wasn't too expensive, but it turned out well and I really enjoyed decorating it. It now houses a lot of my craft supplies. Thanks Riot.
